Frames

We pride ourselves for carrying a wide selection of well-known labels as well as several chic, somewhat eclectic designs not easily found elsewhere. Quality is our product, and we offer a warranty on all of our spectacle frames. To complement our fashion range, we hold a variety of functional designs in a wide range of fitting sizes.
We are as excited to help you see well as we are to make you look fabulous!

Sunglasses

We have an extensive range of fashion sunglasses, most of which can be made up with your prescription.
However, our sunglasses don’t only make you look good, they also protect your eyes. Australia has harsh UV and as a result we have the highest rate of ocular melanomas, as well as many other UV related problems, including cataract, macular degeneration and pterygium. All of our sunglasses comply with the AUstralian Sunglass Standard for UV Protection.
We also proudly partner with Maui Jim, who are known for producing the best sunglass lens in the world.

Lenses

The modern lifestyle can be visually challenging and we rely heavily on our eyes. At Eyetech we tailor your optical solutions to you and the different tasks you perform.

We only deal with trusted, reliable manufacturers, and most commonly use lenses from Hoya, a Japanese lens manufacturer, and CR Surfacing, a laboratory supplying Australian Made lenses.

We prescribe all types of lenses from single vision for task specific needs, anti-fatigue and occupational lenses to help adapt to the world of challenging visual tasks we perform and progressive (multifocal) lenses that allow you to perform all tasks with the highest level of accuracy.

The progressive lenses that we use are premium digital freeform lenses which are customised specifically to you and your frame. This ensures that you will obtain the clearest vision with minimal distortion and the widest field of view.

Thinner, lighter lenses

Contemporary spectacle lens design has come a long way since the days of heavy glass lenses and thick CR39 plastic lenses. Today’s lenses are thinner and lighter being of higher index than conventional crown glass lenses of the past. Not only will your glasses look great, they will be comfortable to wear as well.

Coatings to protect your eyes and your lenses

Anti-reflective coatings eliminate reflections from the front and back surfaces of your spectacle lenses, which will improve your clarity and reduce glare, particularly for tasks such as computer use and driving. They also make the lenses appear ‘invisible,’ so also look much better aesthetically.

However, some of these coatings have been known to scratch. Through years of research lens manufacturers have created coatings that resist scratching. The latest Diamond Finish by Hoya is the most scratch resistant coating on the market. Speak to us to find out more about these technological advances.

Blue light is emitted from smart phones, tablets and other LED screens. The increased usage of these devices expose our eyes to more blue light than ever. This is thought to damage retinal cells, affect sleep patterns and moods. Coatings such as Hoya’s BlueControl and CR Surfacing’s Satin Blue can now be added to your lenses to reduce blue light exposure.

Lens Tints

We can prescribe all of these lenses in clear, transition (changing colour in different lighting conditions), sunglass, tinted, polarised and with mirror coatings.
