Disposable Lenses

We have a full range of leading disposable lens products from the major manufacturers including the new ‘Dailies Total 1’ lens from Alcon. Dailies Total 1 is a revolutionary contact lens being the first 'water gradient' contact lens. The core has a low water content which allows for superior breathability, low dehydration and excellent handling whereas the outer surface has a water content approaching 100% with the surface being as soft as the surface of the eye for unrivalled comfort.

Gas Permeable (GP) Lenses

Fitting and prescribing GP lenses is today regarded as an area of specialty practice, with many optometrists choosing to avoid this time-consuming and potentially complex work.

Eyetech specializes in the fitting and prescribing of GP lenses.

GP lenses frequently provide the highest possible level of blur free vision, known as the 'Best Corrected Visual Acuity' (BCVA).

For example, Keratoconus is usually managed with GP lenses because of the superior BCVA they afford compared to spectacles.

Some patients with sensitive eyes may find GP lenses difficult to wear due to symptoms of dryness and irritation. Fortunately, larger designs known as 'mid-scleral' or 'semi-scleral' lenses have been developed that provide exceptional comfort even in windy, dusty or dry conditions.

We have a range of speciality lenses for specific applications such as orthokeratology, keratoconus, post-corneal graft, post-refractive surgery, trauma, tints and more.
